Event Coordinator
I got contacted for an interview pretty quickly. I was excited at first but then saw some bad reviews, but I didn't let it get to me. When I went to the interview, there was one other person there with me, and we were both asked the same questions. It was a bit unusual and I didn't really like that format.
- What value do you add to this company?
Event Coordinator
The interview process started with a brief initial meeting at the office. Following that, there was a second round which took place in a retail setting like Walmart or Sam's Club, lasting about 30-45 minutes. This second stage involved watching the interviewer sell, followed by a discussion about the training stages, pay, and your experience and qualifications. The final round was back at the office.
- While watching the interviewer sell, what five marketing techniques would you identify?
- Tell me about your experience and qualifications.
- What are the stages of the training and what are your thoughts on the pay structure?
Event Coordinator
The first interview was a quick in-person meeting with the hiring manager, who was pleasant. She then invited me to a second interview, which was at an "on-site" event to get a feel for the job. At this event, I met Lindsay, who was also nice but asked more challenging questions. This part felt more like a class than an interview. I was interviewed alongside another candidate, which was a bit unusual because she asked us both the same questions, giving an advantage to whoever answered second. The core of the job involves promoting products at retailers like Sam's Club, Walmart, or Costco. The company aims for rapid advancement, with possibilities of reaching manager status within 5-9 months, though the role primarily involves spending most days at a Sam's Club regardless of your position.
- What's your experience managing or supervising teams?
- What makes you a better fit than the other applicants?
