Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Securonix.
Software Development Engineer in Test
The interview process included three rounds. The first round focused on your resume projects and any internship experience. You'll get easy DSA questions in your preferred language, some database queries (easy to medium), and basic testing questions. The second round is a more in-depth chat about your projects, like how you built them and what other options you thought about. It also includes mid-level DSA and some managerial questions to gauge your interest. The third round covers core CS topics like OS, Networks, and DBMS (basic to intermediate) and a logic problem.
- Using Java and a HashMap, count the frequency of elements in a given dataset.
- Write a SQL query to select flight IDs based on arrival and departure times across multiple days with a specified frequency, considering an airport scenario with multiple WHERE conditions.
Senior Software Development Engineer in Test
Had two rounds of interviews for this full-time role. The first round had relevant questions. The second round, the interviewer asked only irrelevant questions that weren't on my resume or in the job description. Very unprofessional.
- ALM (which is outdated) related question.
- Given two unrelated tables, write a SQL query to generate a table with all values, even without using joins.
Software Development Engineer In Test
It's about 5 rounds. All the rounds had both moderate and difficult questions. Each and every round based on different topics in computer science engineering like (OS, Computer architecture...etc). Consistent practice will help you to crack this out.
- Can you describe the specific features of the latest Java version and their implementations given certain conditions?
