First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Securonix.
Security Analyst
Applied online. First round was a phone interview scheduled for 6pm, but the interviewer made me wait until 7pm, which felt very unprofessional. They asked a lot of Java and SQL questions, it felt like they had a list and were just checking boxes, but I managed to answer about 80% of them. The interviewer seemed convinced. The second round was a phone interview with a managing level person. They asked a few questions about my resume projects and then surprisingly said they were making an offer. I received the offer via email, but it included a condition: a 1-year commitment and a $5000 bond, for a lower package than expected. It was pretty clear they expected people to leave quickly. I formally declined the offer, and they didn't even respond to my email. Very unprofessional.

Security Analyst
So the first interview was with the manager, and it was mostly behavioral, where they dug into my resume and how I approach problems. Then, there was a technical interview with a senior analyst. They asked me about Java, SQL, and some general security stuff. The last interview was over Skype.
- Can you share an instance where you found an innovative solution to a difficult problem?
Security Analyst
Had an initial screening call, then a technical phone interview where they asked about Java and SQL. It wasn't too difficult, mostly basic questions, but they really wanted to see if you understood the fundamentals and could communicate well. The interviewers were nice and chill. It's a fast-growing startup that seems to be hiring a lot right now.
- How do you handle client communication?
- Regarding SQL programming, what can you tell me?
- Tell me about your experience with Java programming.
