First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SecurityScorecard.
Software Engineer
This was a pretty straightforward interview process if you have the right background. I went through two technical interviews that felt fair and directly related to the skills listed on my resume. In addition to those, there were about 3 or 4 interviews focused on cultural fit, which were all pretty typical.
- Can you share an instance where you experienced failure and describe how you managed to overcome it?
Software Developer
The interview process was really smooth and organized. The recruiter was clear and responsive throughout. Communication was quick, open, and nice, making it a stress-free and efficient experience.

Software Engineer
The recruiter was aloof and distracted, felt like they were just checking boxes. Didn't get a good feel for the culture or the role. Had a basic coding assessment with intros, the coding challenge, and time for questions. The question was straightforward, answered it fine. Then they asked a follow-up question and put me on the spot to stay after the allotted interview slot time. I agreed and got through everything fine with good feedback. Never heard back for 3 weeks, then got an automated rejection email. A waste of time, unprofessional, and unorganized. Would not recommend.
- Can you solve this anagram problem in the style of a LeetCode easy/medium?
- Could you answer a follow-up question about the anagrams?
