Technical Other

The interview process was very assessment-heavy upfront, before even getting a good look at the job description. They expect you to do a bunch of tests, like technical and personality ones, pretty early on, and you might not really know what the job is all about. I tried to get a better job description before doing the tests, but they just closed my application instead.

Behavioral Technical Other

First, you'll have a chat with HR, just a casual talk about you and how you fit the job. They want to know about you and if you'll vibe with the team and company. Then, there are the Aon Tests. Seriously, prepare for these aptitude and cognitive assessments. Don't underestimate them; practice beforehand so you know what to expect. Messing these up can end your chances. After that, it's a meeting with the Team Manager and Head. It's a mix of technical stuff and behavioral questions. They'll check your job knowledge and how you team up. They might also ask personal questions to see your work style and if you're a good fit. Lastly, you'll meet the CEO. This is a mix of technical questions, including networking and cybersecurity even if they aren't your main focus, plus puzzles (like those Microsoft brainteasers), and personal questions. The main thing here is cultural fit – making sure your values, interests, and personality match Sectra’s mission and vibe.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The interview process started with an initial screen, then a chat with the hiring manager. This was followed by a group presentation and an interview with the CEO. I was initially excited about Sectra, but after seeing their internal operations, I feel like I dodged a bullet. Although the people I interacted with were nice, they seemed very disorganized. I received two initial emails from the recruiter, not realizing she had already contacted me before. I also got a meeting invite with no link. It made me wonder if this was a test of how I'd handle their disorganization, given the feedback from other reviews. Most of the interview questions were banal and irrelevant. For example, asking what I'd do if gravity disappeared is a waste of time. During my group presentation on "The Future of AI in Healthcare," four out of five people didn't show up due to a last-minute audit. Weeks later, after a brief 15-minute chat with one of the absent individuals, they decided to move forward with other candidates. This short discussion didn't even cover my presentation; instead, they asked basic interview questions as if we hadn't spoken before, which was confusing. It took two months from the initial contact to receive a generic denial letter, which felt insulting after months of engagement. They gave no specific reason for not choosing me, just the standard "at this time your skills and experience..." line. If you have technical skills, you can probably find a better opportunity than Sectra.
