Java Developer
It was a walk in interview in Ahmedabad conducted by consultants. The whole process took the entire day and had 6 rounds in total, including the final interview. The first round was a technical MCQ test with basic Java questions. This was followed by two rounds of programming tests, then an aptitude and puzzle round. After successfully clearing all these, I was called for the final interview at 6:30 in the evening. They mainly asked about my current project, OOPS concepts, and puzzles. I wasn't sure if they were hiring for development or just to solve puzzles, as about 25-30 minutes of the 45-minute interview was dedicated to puzzles. The HR mentioned they would contact me later, but after a full day, no results were announced. It felt like they weren't serious about hiring but rather trying to show they attempted to recruit but couldn't find suitable candidates. No decision-makers seemed to be part of the interview panel.
- Can you reverse a string using recursion?
- Explain the concept of parity check.
- Discuss binary search trees.
Java Developer
A consultancy called me and arranged an interview at the Phoenix Hotel in Pune. The first round was an aptitude test, which was easy but had negative marking. The second round involved technical MCQs and a programming task. The third round consisted of two puzzles to be solved on a blank paper, followed by a face-to-face technical discussion. However, the interviewer seemed more interested in eating French fries than conducting the interview. They said they would contact me once the process is finalized.
- Can you explain the immutability of strings in Java and discuss some related JSP concepts?
- Tell me about why strings are immutable and some things related to jsp.
Junior Java Developer
So basically there's an orientation in college and then after a month they conduct hiring. First, an aptitude test is conducted where they select a handful of people, followed by a programming round where they select a few more. Finally, there's a technical round where they select only one or two candidates.
- Can you explain concepts related to tree traversal?
- Can you explain concepts related to graph traversal?
