Internship
I applied online by googling "seaworld internships 2014". About a week later, they scheduled a phone interview since I lived too far away to come in person. The person on the phone was very dry. They started by confirming details on my application like my age and education. Most of the interview questions were behavioral, and she emphasized that the questions were asking for a specific time when I acted in a specific situation, not what I would do but what I did in the past. I was very nervous over the phone, and the lady sounded so tired it was hard for me to maintain my upbeat energetic personality. I thought I didn't get it when I got off the phone, but I did. It took about a month to get the congratulatory email about receiving the position. It was a long wait, and I even emailed them asking when I would know if I received the internship. They emailed back saying any day now, and that same day I was notified I had received the position.
- Can you describe a situation where you had to work with an unpleasant group member and how you handled it?
Intern
Got a call the day before asking me to come in for an interview. When I got there, I first had to go to HR to confirm my personal details (name, birthday, social security, etc.). Then I went to another office to meet with two hiring trainers. The interview had 10 questions, ranging from my favorite vacation spot to how to make a PB&J sandwich.
- Tell me about a time you leveraged networking to your benefit.
Intern
I applied online and they got back to me 3 days later to set up an interview. The interview was about 30 minutes long and was behavioral. They asked questions like "Tell me about a time you had to lead a group." I heard back about a month and a half later saying I got the internship.
- Tell me about a time you had to work with someone you did not get along with
