We had three rounds. The first was an OA round with quant, reasoning, and coding questions, plus two DSA questions. The second round was a technical round where they asked about DSA and OOPs concepts, and questions related to my tech stack and the job post.

First, there was a 2-hour written test. After passing it, I had a technical round. The interviewer and HR said I wasn't suitable for Lead but offered a Senior Software Engineer role if I came back for a second technical round on a weekday. I took time off work for this, but the interview panel debated if they could hire someone with 6+ years of experience for SSE. They then had another Lead conduct a very short, 10-minute interview. I felt misled and that my time was wasted. Many friends have had similar experiences without offers; they seem to just waste people's time. I complained to the consultancy. Don't waste your time interviewing with Sears.

The hiring process was quite organized. I had two rounds on campus: one technical and one behavioral. The technical round started with a discussion about my projects, followed by mostly basic Java questions. Since I had Angular JS on my resume, they asked me to build a simple MVC architecture for an Angular JS app. They also asked standard questions on threads, JSP, and data structures. Within two weeks, they set up onsite interviews, which consisted of three 45-minute technical sessions. These focused on design patterns like Singleton, Factory, and Observer, as well as database concepts, Java, threads, Angular JS, and Struts. In the final interview, I was given a scheduling problem to solve and then asked to optimize it. Overall, it was a decent interview experience. My advice is to prepare OOPS, Data Structures, Design Patterns, and Algorithms. Understanding a framework or a JavaScript library like Angular is also beneficial. The HR got back to me with an offer within a week, and the compensation was very competitive.
