Customer Service Representative
It's a multi-stage hiring process. We do interviews, sometimes one-on-one, sometimes with groups, and sometimes panels. Interviews can be in person, over the phone, by email, or video calls.
- Can you share an experience where...
Call Center Representative
I did two interviews. First was with HR, asking basic stuff like where I'm from and work history. Then I sat on the sales floor and listened to actual calls. After that, a second interview with the team leader. She went over job details and asked more in-depth questions. Anecdotes are key! Mentioning the money and lucrative commission potential when asked why I want to work for Sears seemed to go over well. Then, a role-playing session where I had to sell a product to a reluctant customer. They want to see an honest interaction and how I react. Avoid saying 'um' during this part.
- Can you share an example of a time when you outperformed your teammates while working on a team?
- Describe a situation where you encountered a challenging or upset customer. What was the scenario, and what steps did you take to resolve it?
Customer Service Representative
The interview process was pretty straightforward, starting with some basic questions and then an offer. I did have to wait about 45 minutes in the lobby, which suggested they might have been a bit overbooked with appointments. Despite that, the overall experience was good. Before they explained the job, they asked me to detail my past customer service roles and how my experience could benefit the company.
- What is your approach to managing unexpected changes in company procedures?
- Could you elaborate on your past customer service roles?
- Explain how your previous experience would make you a valuable addition to our company.
