Senior Software Engineer
after the hr interview there was a coding task. they did not like my code. they wanted me to design a service that converts bitcoin to usd using a remote api. after i implemented it, i got feedback that the code was nice and readable but not restful. they said i was proxying a remote service and over-engineering. it seems like you have to guess what the reviewer wants. but you cannot do that. you should ask them. it's a strict mindset. don't do extra things, or they will say you added an extra feature, but they wanted a simple one. maybe they want to see what you understand when someone says 'restful'. you will need to start the task early to be able to ask details. i think i gave much more useful details about the task here. probably they should inform about details like that.

The interview was in a nice vibe. The person interviewing me was super nice. I appreciated how they clarified things when I didn't get the task, and they were patient when I stumbled on words and needed to find the right translation.
- How would you design a distributed web-crawler?
Software Engineer
The whole process was super clear and went really well. I actually liked the online coding task, even though it's usually the most nerve-wracking part for me. The engineer I talked to was really chill and laid-back, which totally helped me relax too. The task they gave me was a real-world problem, not some obscure coding trick. The second interview was all about my past experience and how I tackle problems and stuff. It felt really professional, no judgment, just felt heard and understood.
- The technical interview involved correcting a straightforward application.
- The next interview focused on my work methods, my learning experiences, and any discoveries I've made over the years.
- Can you describe your approach to problems and challenges based on your experience?
