The interview process was pretty straightforward. The recruiter explained all the steps and was helpful. I had two interviews after the initial screening with the recruiter. They asked me about my book of business and typical customer success responsibilities.

It was a multi-level interview process. I talked to the recruiter first, then the director, then the VP, and finally the CEO. The recruiter was my main point of contact and handled all the coordination. The whole thing wrapped up in about two weeks because of scheduling.

So I had a recruiter call first, then a video interview with the head of the department. That went well, so they scheduled a third and final round with the CEO and COO. I gave them my references, and the call with the CEO and COO went great, they offered me the job on the spot and I accepted. We even negotiated a start date. The CEO said something like 'I bet your current company will be upset to hear you're leaving! We're happy to have you on board.' I woke up the next morning and got an email from HR saying they weren't moving forward and wished me luck. No explanation. I asked for clarification because I thought I had the job. The recruiter told me they went with someone else and that the CEO 'tends to get excited and speaks before fully weighing his thoughts'. Apparently, the CEO offered me the job and told me to quit my job ASAP, but then rejected me the next day. I guess the CEO offered me the job without fully considering it? It's like an impulsive child. From the startup world, I know things get overlooked, but there's no excuse for the owner of a company to offer a candidate a job, tell them to start right away, and then reject them the next day for not thinking things through. Not the kind of leader I'd want to work for. Everyone I spoke to had only been there for 3 months max, which shows inexperience. Don't waste your time here.
