Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Seagate Technology.
Systems Engineer
We had 2 rounds, they shortlisted candidates directly without any test, then there was a technical round, and then HR round. The technical questions were simple, covering linked lists, stacks implemented with arrays, and recursion. We also discussed my projects.
- What are the basics of data structures and algorithms?
- Can you tell me about Java?
- Explain linked lists.
Systems Engineer
The interview was held in a very comfortable atmosphere. The questions were given as a test, and the interviewers left the room to ease the pressure during the coding questions. They also provided help with prompts during the interview. If an answer was on the right path, you could sense the interviewers' acceptance, which provided encouragement and confidence when completing the question.
- Can you describe the risk assessment you conducted for any project you have completed so far?
Systems Engineer
I had a technical interview first, then an HR interview. After that, we discussed salary, and then I got the offer. Since the position was open in the South Korea design center, I interviewed in both Korean and English.
- What are your goals for working at this company?
- Are you able to relocate for systems engineering roles?
