Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SEA (Singapore).
Legal Counsel
This was the second round of the interview and it was a really unprofessional and rude experience. When I asked about the next steps, the interviewer just laughed loudly and mockingly, then mentioned an assessment and said 'let's see how and if you could do that,' followed by more ridicule. It was just one person laughing disrespectfully. I can't believe an MNC would conduct interviews like this; the whole vibe was demeaning. It makes me wonder what it's like working there.
- Can you introduce yourself and detail your previous work experience?
Legal Counsel
I had an initial meeting with the talent acquisition team, then I had to complete a written assessment that had a deadline and also write up on a topic. Finally, I met with a senior counsel who assessed my problem-solving skills.
- Can you introduce yourself, your background, and your work experiences?
Legal Counsel
HR reached out on LinkedIn. There were 2 rounds of interviews, but I heard there are about 4 total. HR ghosted me after the second interview, haven't heard back in over 3 months. The first interview was online via Zoom. HR asked about my past work experience. Then she passed me along to Maribank's legal team (she was deciding between them and Shopee's legal team). The second interview was in-person at Fusionopolis with the 2 people on Maribank's legal team. They both came from private practice and were very knowledgeable. The interview itself was fine, just really unhappy with the HR for not updating me on my application status.
- Can you tell me about your experience in the legal industry as a practitioner?
- What challenges have you encountered in your legal career and how did you manage them?
- How would you handle the process of transmitting data overseas, considering different countries for usage or storage?
