Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Scripps Health.
Executive Assistant
I went through three interviews. First was a video interview, then an interview with HR, and lastly an in-person panel interview. I felt like I did great. The position was not necessarily below me, but I would have been going backward. I only applied to try and get my foot into the door at Scripps. In all honesty, I think the VP already had made up her mind about who she wanted before I arrived. The interview was supposed to be a 3-panel interview. However, it ended up being just the VP and her Exec Asst. The interview panel, in addition to several comments made by the VP during the meeting, signaled to me that they did not take the interview seriously. I was told on Halloween via email that I was not selected. It was a bummer, but I suppose it's onwards and upwards. Your loss Scripps!
- Can you share an instance where your day didn't go according to plan?

- Tell me about a time your perspective differed from your teammates'.
Administrative Assistant
The process was really quick. The recruiter reached out the same day I applied, saying I was selected to move forward and should submit for a background check. I had my interview about a week after that. Then, two days later, they called me back with an offer.
- Are you able to create spreadsheets in Excel?
- Do you have experience with word processing software?
- What's your process for adding a new appointment in Outlook?
Department Assistant
I sent in my resume which had some keywords from the job posting. Pretty quickly, within an hour, I got an invite for a pre-recorded video interview. I did the videos and they must have liked them because I passed the first review. I've reached out to the recruiter twice by email but haven't heard back yet.
