My interview with this person was fine; they asked some tough questions. It felt like they had a specific candidate in mind. The interviewer said, "We don't like to leave candidates hanging, so you'll hear from us soon." But HR never followed up, and even though I reached out to the HR person twice via their personal email, they never responded. It was really unprofessional because people spend time and energy interviewing. If it's a no, they should just say so.
