Digital Marketing Strategist
The HR person set up a phone chat for about 30-40 minutes. I thought it went great and they were gonna set up time to meet the team. But first, they asked me to do a personality test. I said okay, but only if I could see the results. They agreed. But then, the next day, they emailed to say they weren't interested anymore. When I asked about the results, they ghosted me. I asked again, twice. No response. Just a really bad way to treat people interviewing.

Marketing
So basically I had this interview that was about an hour long and it was with a group of 6 people who are all executives in the Marketing Department. They asked me questions mostly about my past work experience, like not so much about what was on my resume.
- Have you ever had a client yell at you?
Marketing Assistant
Scorpion has a super thorough interview process. My mom, who's the Director of Marketing for one of their clients, knows their VP of Public Relations, Jill, and passed my resume along. The Director of Talent Acquisition, Seth, reached out and asked me some basic questions about my background. After that initial chat, he had me take an English, math, IQ, and spatial reasoning test through Purdue, each lasting about 3 minutes and pretty easy (definitely study anagrams!). A few days later, Seth scheduled an in-person meeting with some marketing folks. I expected 3-9 people, but it ended up being just Seth and two Internet Marketing Managers, Marika and Nicholas. There was another candidate who was supposed to be there but was in New York. They were really nice and casual. They had me do a typing test and an email test with two scenarios: one from a happy client and one from an unhappy client about a typo. After the tests, Seth gave me a tour of the awesome office and then took me to a conference room. Marika and Nicholas then talked about the Marketing Assistant role, giving me tips as if I'd already started, like how to help colleagues who seem stressed. They mostly focused on how to excel as an MA, suggesting things like taking a class weekly, staying late, and learning to code. They asked me more general background questions, looking for someone organized, proactive, and willing to go above and beyond. I ended up getting a standard rejection email saying they chose other candidates.
- What three adjectives would your past managers use to describe you?
