Software Engineer
I had a phone interview and then received a coding assignment with a one-week deadline. I spent a few days on the coding test. After submitting it, they responded saying they didn't have a matching position. Honestly, this company doesn't seem to respect your time, and who knows what it would be like to work there. I'd say avoid them.

Numerical Algorithms Software Engineer
The hiring process was a bit of a letdown, starting with a low compensation offer. After a short phone call, they immediately sent over a coding challenge with a week to complete it. Unfortunately, I was rejected without any feedback, which felt unprofessional considering the significant time investment and the fact that they asked me to do unpaid work. It seems like their job ads for algorithms/software roles might be misleading, as these positions seem to be posted repeatedly. Based on other experiences, I suspect they are primarily looking for the cheapest possible candidate.
- Can you complete a week-long coding challenge focused on orbital mechanics?
Staff Software Engineer
I had an HR phone screen, followed by a take-home coding test. Then, there was a panel interview where they discussed my past experience and the results of the coding test. The coding test itself was quite straightforward if you had a decent grasp of calculus from college. I ultimately declined the offer because the salary was too low. It seems like they have salary bands based on years of experience rather than merit or skill, which is typical for DoD/contracting work.
- Could you write C++ code to perform coordinate transformations and compute the velocities of the objects represented by these coordinate measurements?
C++ Software Engineer
The interview started with a phone screening that was supposed to be about discussing experience and asking questions, but it turned into a technical interview. After that, I got a take-home assignment with unclear instructions and about a week to finish it. Then, there was an in-person interview that felt like a waste of time because most of the panel seemed uninterested and like they'd already decided before I even got there.
- Can you explain the differences between C++, Python, and Java?
