Schwan's Company Operations Manager Interview Questions
& Process

The interview was 6 hours long with a 2-person panel each hour. It was very mentally draining with so many questions asked, many of which are typically ones you'd ask for answers. If you don't share examples that they've personally experienced, they'll judge you on the examples you choose. At the same time, some interviewers couldn't answer those same questions themselves. It seemed pointless if you weren't saying what they wanted to hear.

It was a long process that took nearly two months. It involved interviews with a recruiter, two different zone managers, a ride-along, a regional HR director, a regional operations manager, and the regional VP. After all this, I was told three times that they were deciding on hiring me, but a week later the recruiter, not anyone from the company, informed me they'd offered the job to an internal candidate who had rejected it multiple times before. The local people were great, but the regional leaders acted unprofessionally and in bad faith. You can't trust the leaders. It's a shame because they contacted me for the role, I didn't even apply until they reached out.

It was a really thorough and action-oriented process with 3 interviews and a ride along day. The District Manager was very involved and focused on finding candidates who had both passion and business sense.
