Customer Success Specialist
I applied online and heard back super quick, within 48 hours. Then I had a 30 minute phone screening, followed by a 3 hour in-person interview. The in-person was broken into about 40 minute chunks with around 10 people from the team. I got asked "Why SchoolMint?" in pretty much every interview. They also asked specific stuff about my resume and previous work. I got to ask questions at the end of each chat, which helped me get a better vibe of the company and potential colleagues. The whole thing was pretty great. The questions were sometimes tough because they'd describe specific situations and I had to detail my steps to handle the issue. I really got a good feel for the company and the team, and left wanting the job even more. After the in-person, I had a follow-up with the COO, which I thought was a good sign of how they value employees. It took about 3-4 weeks from applying to getting the offer.

Customer Success Specialist
The interview process was pretty standard. It started with a phone screen, then an in-person interview with team members in New York, followed by video calls with 7 people in San Francisco. Everyone seemed nice and spoke well of the company. However, I was really unhappy with the lack of feedback and complete silence between communications. It took over three and a half months from the initial phone screen to get a rejection. After spending 3 hours on-site and doing a case study, there was just silence. To make things worse, weeks after I sent the case study, they asked if they could contact my references, but they indicated they never were. My main issues are the poor communication and lack of clarity. It's hard to believe it took so long to decide not to move forward with my application. It felt disorganized and like they didn't care about the candidate experience.

Customer Success Specialist
I had a really good time interviewing with SchoolMint. There were three interviews in total. The first one was a phone call to chat about the job and the company. Then I went to their NY office for an in-person interview where I met most of the Customer Success team and also Skyped with a couple of people in San Francisco. The last interview was a Skype call with the COO and someone from the Product team.
