First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Schneider Downs & Co..
Audit Associate
I applied online through my university's career portal. I then had an on-campus interview with a recruiter that lasted 30 minutes. The interview mainly consisted of behavioral questions to assess my fit with this mid-market regional accounting firm. I felt the interview went really well. Everyone I met from the firm was very nice and pleasant, and it seems like a great place to begin my career.
- Can you tell me about your biggest weakness?
Auditor
My interview was held on-campus at the University of Pittsburgh. Schneider Downs hosts a pre-interview social gathering at a local restaurant before the main event, aiming to help interviewees relax. The following day, I had a one-on-one behavioral interview with a head HR person from Schneider Downs. It was a standard behavioral interview, without any unusual elements, except they asked for my SAT score, which I found a bit strange given it's a high school metric. Unlike other firms, Schneider Downs uses US mail for communication, which is an interesting, albeit old-fashioned, approach. Overall, the interview process was quite straightforward and not stressful.
- What was your SAT score?
IT Auditor
It went very smoothly. Easy to follow and everyone was very helpful. One of the better processes by the larger accounting firms. Had an on-campus interview then an office interview that went great. The whole process took about 2-3 weeks. But the nice part was they called you the next day after the office interview wether or not they extended an offer.
- How do you envision this company aiding your personal and professional development?
