Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Schindler.
Intern
The interview was pretty straightforward, mostly asking basic questions. There were some HR-type questions and they inquired about my favorite subject. They then asked questions related to my field, which for me was Industrial Engineering. Overall, it was a great experience.
- Can you describe your strengths and weaknesses?
- What subject do you like the most?
- What are your thoughts on topics related to Industrial Engineering?
Intern
I had two rounds for the internship. The first was with a junior person who wanted to know about me, my hobbies, my interests, my academic background, and my experience. Then, they gave me some case studies to work through. They seemed happy with my answers and confirmed my availability for the internship period. The second round was with a senior person, and it was a more casual chat about me, my interests, and what I'm passionate about.
- Can you tell me about your strengths and how they contribute to your growth?
Intern
The interview process included an initial resume screening, followed by a technical and aptitude test. The aptitude part focused on logic and GRE-level math, while the technical section was specific to my core subject, Electrical and Electronics. Next, there was an HR presentation, then a technical interview to assess the knowledge mentioned on my CV. Finally, an HR interview concluded the process.
- Can you share details about your past work experiences and your skillset?
- Are you able to write a program in C++?
- What do you do in your free time?
