Product Operations Manager
It was 6 interviews total. Initially the process was fine but I didn’t get the offer. The recruiter didn’t call me to let me know. It felt like they were wasting my time.
- Questions about past behaviors and experiences
- A case study focused on problem-solving
- Another problem-solving case study
Product Operations Manager
The interview process started with a 30-minute phone screen with a recruiter to discuss career aspirations. This was followed by Round 1, which included two interviews: one behavioral focusing on career aspirations, interests, and past projects/experiences, and one technical involving a problem-solving exercise. Round 2 consisted of four interviews: a behavioral and case study interview (discussing experiences and solving a McK-style case), another behavioral interview (discussing experiences), and two technical interviews (problem-solving exercises). Finally, there was an email and phone call about the offer details.
- Tell me about your career aspirations, interests, and previous projects.
- Can you solve this problem-solving exercise?
- Walk me through your experiences and solve this McK-style case.
Operations Lead
The interview process involved multiple interviews. It started with a recruiter call, followed by an interview with a random Scale employee focusing on culture, then interviews with the hiring manager and their supervisor. There was also a site visit. I went through 7 interviews for the first position and 2 for another, but didn't get an offer for either despite meeting the requirements. The positions are still open. It feels like they might be collecting ideas or just checking the market. After the final interview, I was ignored for over 3 weeks until I reached out. Then, neither recruiter responded professionally, just sent an automated rejection. So, I wouldn't recommend interviewing with Scale because it's long, tiring, and time-consuming, with a high chance the job isn't real.
- What are your thoughts on Scale's core values and ethos, based on their culture?
- Can you walk me through how you'd solve some of the fundamental challenges inherent in this role, using a case study approach?
