First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SC Johnson.
Administrative Assistant
The hiring process was pretty fast. I heard back about my application about a week after submitting it. First, I had a quick chat with someone from Talent Acquisitions, and they got back to me within another week to arrange panel interviews. They set up three virtual sessions, but then added a fourth one after the first session. In total, the interviews took about four hours. Everyone introduced themselves, went over some basic requirements, and then we got into STAR questions. It's been a week since then, and I'm waiting to hear back. They mentioned I should expect to hear about an offer or a rejection in about two weeks.
- Can you describe a time when your past experience provided you with the necessary skills for this role?
Executive Assistant
I had a phone interview with a recruiter first, and then after a few weeks, I had a face to face interview with some of the executives. The interview consisted of meeting with a Director, then the manager of the position, and then the person who currently had the position - who was moving on to a different department.
- How would you go about selling your current employer to me?
Administrative Assistant
Got put forward by a recruitment agency. Then invited for an interview. The appointment was made quickly. At the interview, an HR employee and a colleague. Extremely friendly and focused people. Clearly explained the background and structure of the company. Very well organized with facilities for employees. Good benefits. They mentioned they still had another candidate to speak with. Received feedback the same day via the recruitment agency.
- Tell me about yourself.
- When can you start? Your availability?
- Why this vacancy?
