Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SC Johnson.
Packaging Engineer
The interview process was composed of 3 parts: first, a phone call with HR to get to know each other and see if the candidate matches the profile. Then, a video call with the technical team, which was similar to the first but more in-depth about the job tasks, though without technical questions. Finally, there was a case study involving a project simulation, where I had about 50 minutes to review and prepare, followed by a 30-minute discussion. Overall, it was a positive experience, and both HR and the technical team were very friendly.

Engineer
I was really excited to interview at SC Johnson since I had a great internship experience there before. But this interview process was super disappointing and made me lose interest in working at SC Johnson. The interviewers weren't professional; all but one were on their phones during the interview.
- Describe your most creative accomplishment.
Packaging Engineer
Started with an HR call about benefits and company vibe. Then, I had an hour-long session with a few directors I'd report to. After that, I grabbed lunch with an engineer doing similar work. The last part was a tour of the campus, focusing on the unique office design and the company's history.
- Tell me about a time you made a decision that wasn't popular. How did you deal with the aftermath?
