Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SC Johnson.
Payroll Specialist
Very clear and direct. The people were very friendly and willing to tell you everything about the company, the role, the team, the culture, etc. They were also willing to listen to the candidate and see what aspirations/career plans they have.
- What was the reason for leaving your last position?
Accounting Analyst
Had an HR call, then a video interview where I had to do two tests: one on Excel skills and one on accounting knowledge. The accounting part was pretty basic. The Excel test was really broad, covering tons of formulas – probably too much to finish, but they cared more about how well you did than how much you got done. After that, they offered me the job.
- Tell me about some of your regrets.
Accounts Receivable Specialist
It started with a basic phone call from HR, where they went over my resume and the job description, asking some general questions about the role. They said I'd get a second interview, but it never happened.
- Would you be okay with traveling to the job site?
