They didn't ask technical questions. But they took into account my academic participation and if I was willing to study. Part of the interview was in English, but it was basic level. At no point did I feel uncomfortable and HR was always present in all processes.

Technical Behavioral
The interview was online with people from the department, no HR. The HOD had a brief initial call that made me feel he was interested. He mentioned the interview would focus on attitude rather than technical skills. It lasted 30 minutes. Some easy technical questions did come up, which caught me by surprise since I thought it was non-technical and I'm just a student aiming for an internship. Near the end, they discussed the next steps and we had a verbal agreement. Since HR wasn't involved, I couldn't confirm anything until it's in writing.
