First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SBM Offshore.
Cost Estimator
The hiring process took about a month to complete. It started with an HR interview, followed by a second interview with a team member, then a third interview with a more senior team member, and finally a fourth interview with senior HR.
- Tell me about your daily tasks.
- Can you share an example of a project you worked on?
- What is your approach to cost estimation?
Human Resources Manager
The process was agile and well-structured with a few stages. The conversations were online. The manager and recruiter were very friendly. Recruiting was done via LinkedIn, and feedback at each stage was received very quickly. There was a last-minute cancellation.
- Tell me about your experience
- What is your experience in conflict management?
ICSS Engineer
A recruiter from SBM Offshore reached out to me on Linkedin and we had an initial chat where they asked for my resume. I sent it over and they set up a technical interview with the Georgetown team. After that interview, the recruiter went quiet and I never got any update on the hiring process.
- Can you describe your experience with FPSOs?
Document Controller
A short interview in two steps. The first step is with Human Resources/SBM management, and the second step is with client representatives. The process can take a long time afterwards, even if the position is urgent. FYI, your careers account on the company website is a great way to follow up on applications since no feedback is provided when you are not selected for interviews.
- Take an English test.
- Tell me about your qualities.
- Tell me about your faults.
