Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SB & Company.
Staff Auditor
I went through a couple rounds of interviews. The first round had partners interviewing and many candidates were filtered out. I passed that round and this was my second round, and I'm now waiting for the offer.
- Questions were based on scenarios.
Auditor
I got this job through on-campus recruiting, applying via the school's portal. First, I had an on-campus interview with a partner. Then, I was invited for an office visit where I interviewed with a partner, senior manager, and director. The interview was entirely behavioral. It seemed like there were a lot of new managers and senior managers at the firm, which made me think about the turnover rate.
- Tell me about your experiences and qualifications.
Audit Associate
I applied via university career services and had an initial 30-minute HR check on campus. Then, I was invited to their office for a face-to-face interview. This started with a presentation, followed by a discussion to assess communication and maturity. A senior associate then explained the job responsibilities before a manager conducted technical and behavioral questions. Finally, a partner interviewed me for 30-45 minutes with open-ended questions.
- Describe a time you missed a deadline. How would you handle a similar situation in the future?
