Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Savills.
Economist
They weren't entirely sure what they were looking for. They described the different teams and then asked what skills I could contribute that they lack. It was unstructured.
- Can you tell me about yourself and your experience?
- What skills do you possess that would be valuable to our team, filling gaps we currently have?
Financial Analyst
The whole thing took about 8 weeks from when applications closed to hearing back. It started with a phone interview, then an assessment, and finished with an in-person interview. The assessment was an excel-based task that took me around 2 hours to complete.
- Can you describe a time you had to manage several deadlines at once and how you handled it?
Senior Financial Analyst
The first step was a preliminary interview, which is basically the standard initial chat. It was a phone call where I shared my background, they gave me the lowdown on the company and the job, and I got to ask them stuff at the end.
