The interviewers were late twice. They asked some decent questions but there was no real back-and-forth. The lighting was so bad I couldn't even see their faces. It seemed to go pretty well both times, but then months passed with no contact. I was told I was a top candidate early on, so the silence felt contradictory. I never even got a 'thank you for your time' email, which is a basic courtesy in a university setting. I wish them luck, but as someone experienced in this field, being left hanging like that makes me hesitant to consider them again, even if they did reach out.

I had two interviews, one on Skype and one in person. Because they were hiring for two departments, I met with people from both. After that, they asked me which department I preferred, and I got the job in the one I chose. The only thing was, it took about 60 days from my final interview to get the offer, which felt like a long time.

I applied online for three different administrative assistant positions and got an email within two business days with a request for a telephonic interview for only one of them. The HR representative called me as scheduled. I asked which department the position was located (it was not listed on the site) and was given the location. I found out the interviewer was handling all three positions I applied for. Upon hearing the information, I asked if the interview was just for that one position. She said, "Yes." I was asked a few questions and was disappointed to hear a smug chortle when she heard my response that my work experience is greater than my degrees. I asked a few questions to which she said she couldn't answer - simple questions about benefits. I received an emailed letter of rejection the next morning and then with the next few days received rejection letters for the other two positions for which I was not even interviewed. I was rather shocked to be rejected for a position which would pose no more challenging than handling my own family affairs on a daily basis.
