Field Service Engineer
It was pretty informal. All the interviews happened over the phone. There was just one in-person meeting, which was basically just to check I was a real person and could talk normally.
- Are you willing to travel?
Field Service Engineer
It was a three-part interview process. First, I had to do some practical tests and also some multiple-choice tests to check my skills. The interview was done virtually. They showed me some schematics and asked me to explain how the system works. Then, they asked me to fix some parts of the system that were simulated and get it running again. After that, I had a multiple-choice test.
- Standardized behavior-based questions plus a deep dive into my past work experiences.
- Proficiency exams and simulated maintenance tasks.
- Explain system operation from schematics.
Field Service Engineer
Recruiter reached out about the job and I had two phone interviews. I felt I connected well with the manager and they said we would move forward to a face-to-face interview over dinner with another manager. I waited a week to hear back from HR but got no response. I sent another email a week later saying I was really interested, but still no word from HR. They basically ghosted me. As a last resort, I contacted the recruiter, who said they would contact HR directly, but I haven't heard anything back since.
- Could you describe your past experience?
- What are your strategies for dealing with challenging scenarios?
