First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sartorius.
Account Manager
I applied for a Field Account Manager job at Sartorius and had 5 interviews spread out over 3 months. In the last interview, the manager said I might also fit the Bioprocess Solution Field Account Manager role. HR then asked for my ID, which made me think an offer was coming. But then there was radio silence for over two weeks. I had to chase them twice for an update. The first time, they said they were still waiting on the manager's decision. Soon after, I got a short email saying I didn't get the job, with no reason or feedback. When I called HR, they said they picked someone who speaks Dutch. But it was clear from the start Dutch wasn't a must-have, and I even said I was willing to learn it, which they liked. Changing the requirements so late in a 3-month process is really questionable. For the other role they suggested, they went with an internal candidate. That job is still listed months later. It was a poorly managed, inconsistent, and unclear process. Five interviews over three months just to get vague reasons and poor communication shows a recruitment process that's way too long and internally uncoordinated. It makes you question the company's professionalism and how they make decisions.
- What basic questions were asked, as is typical?
Account Manager
The interview process stretched a little longer than anticipated, but the team was friendly and put me at ease. I went through 4 interview rounds with various individuals, and each person asked distinct questions, making the experience non-repetitive.
- Could you tell me about your general experience with interviews?
Account Manager
We had a video interview that was recorded and quite extensive. Then there was a second interview with the manager. It was a good look at the company culture, more than just experience. Overall, it was a positive and fun experience. The company was good and mostly kept its promises. They're looking for people who are enjoyable to work with and bring new ideas and creativity.
