First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sard Verbinnen & Co..
Associate Technology
The process started with a basic HR informational interview, then two interviews with mid-level people covering company info and technical skills/cultural fit, and finally I got an offer. It felt like it took a long time and I had to wait a while between steps.
- What are your five-year career goals?
- What attracts you to financial communications?
Associate
After I sent my CV and cover letter, I had two initial interviews, a take-home assessment task, and an HR interview. The whole thing took about 1.5 months. Then, after two weeks of silence, I emailed them about my application status and got a brief reply saying they'd found someone else. No feedback was given at any point.
- Could you explain your interest in strategic communications?
- What makes you want to work for SVC?
- The assessment involved writing a press release.
Intern
I first got in touch via email to send my resume and CV. Next, there was a phone interview that lasted about 20 minutes. Around a week later, I was asked if I could come for an interview at their NYC office. The interview in NYC was pretty laid-back and focused on assessing cultural fit. The people interviewing me were awesome, which was probably why the company culture is so great.
- Tell me about a time you persuaded someone to agree with your viewpoint.
Analyst
I applied online and then someone got in touch to set up an interview. After that, I had two more interviews and then got an offer. I had an offer deadline already, so they might usually take longer.
- What makes you want to work for SVC?
