Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sapiens.
Senior Quality Engineer
It was a friend referral I got & the whole thing took about 3 weeks. First round was Technical, they asked about my roles & responsibilities and basic QA stuff. Next round was Technical and Managerial. Last was HR for salary talk.
- Tell me about your roles and responsibilities.
- Can you answer some basic QA questions?
- What's the difference between Sanity testing and Regression testing?
Manual QA Tester
HR contacted me about the QA Manual role and sent an online test. I got my score (85%) and an invite for a face-to-face interview on the weekend. Many candidates were invited for only 5 openings. The first round was a technical discussion about my projects and Agile processes. The interviewer was polite and asked relevant questions. After passing the first round, we had lunch. By the time the panel returned, the vacancies were filled, making my second round a mere formality, even with 20-25 candidates still waiting for their first round. In the second round, the interviewer seemed uninterested, asking only about my education and family as a formality before ending the interview within 5 minutes. HR then informed me of the negative feedback and sent me home. I wasted 6.5 hours. It's frustrating to be called for interviews when there are no actual requirements, and the interviewers should at least be able to interact.
- The second round interviewer wasn't interested in discussing my domain. The panel for the interview was poorly arranged.
Quality Analyst
Overall 4 rounds. The first was an aptitude round, then there were 2 technical rounds. Finally, a managerial round led into the HR round. The interview was good, very helpful and HR was very friendly in giving information about the time for the next round and all.
- Can you explain testing methodologies?
- What is SDLC?
- What is STLC?
