Technical Analyst
So the interview process started with a case study about developing a website. Then there was a technical interview focusing on my past projects and web services. Finally, I had a manager round which included both the manager and a technical interviewer.
- Questions about MYSQL and web services were asked.
Technical Analyst
I had a 1-hour zoom call with the hiring manager and one of the team members. The call involved answering questions about job-related skills. About halfway through, they noticed my background was more in software development and explained that this position was not a development role. I knew this going in and explained it wasn't an issue. At this point, it seemed like they didn't believe I was an engineer, so they started asking me programming questions about a language not mentioned in the job description. I don't mind answering programming questions, but if it's not in the job description, what's the point? Once they started with the unrelated questions, I decided I didn't want to work with them. I answered the questions and concluded the interview.
- Can you answer general C# questions about inheritance?
- Can you answer general C# questions about abstract classes?
- Can you answer general C# questions about delegates?
Technical Analyst
First up was a technical chat about SQL. Then, two more rounds focused on the functional aspects. They also gave me an assignment involving creating use case diagrams. The SQL part covered basic queries and their differences. The other two rounds were about my past work experience and the specifics of my previous roles.
- Can you explain basic SQL questions?
- Could you write some SQL queries?
- What are the differences between SQL queries?
