Project Manager
I had a recruiter call for a first basic interview. Then, I had a virtual interview with the director, who thought I was a great fit and wanted a second interview, promising an update by the end of the week. After that, I was completely ghosted. The recruiter ignored my texts and emails. I finally got through by calling and was told they still hadn't decided a week later and would follow up the next Monday. Again, no response. I tried calling several times, but they seemed to screen my calls. It would be nice to have basic decency; if I spend time interviewing, at least let me know if I'm not proceeding, instead of saying yes and then not continuing.

Implementation Project Manager
I found the job online and a recruiter reached out within a week. She was pretty chill and asked about my current job, what I wanted salary-wise, and some behavioral stuff. She mentioned it was a work-from-home job, which worked for me. The call lasted about an hour. She said she'd pass me to the hiring manager, and I got an interview scheduled for about a week later. The first interview with the hiring manager was kinda weird. She was about 10 minutes late for our hour-long call. She apologized and seemed rushed trying to get her questions in. She asked behavioral questions about managing time, projects, working with others, handling tough customers, and rating myself on things like technical skills, training, communication, implementation, and customer satisfaction. She didn't seem very engaged, so I was surprised when she said I'd move on. The next round had 4 more interviews, each an hour long. Three were with different implementation team managers, and the last one was with the hiring manager again. So, 6 hours of phone interviews in total, one hour each. Concur's process is pretty thorough. These last interviews were similar to the hiring manager's, with interviewers usually running 5-10 minutes late. They all talked about their teams and why they like Concur. The questions were mostly the same behavioral ones as before, and only one interviewer seemed genuinely enthusiastic. I was told by the hiring manager in the final interview that I'd hear back within a week. She thanked me and said Concur is a great company, hoping the interviews were a good reflection. This whole process took about a month. After two weeks with no word, I emailed the recruiter for an update. She sent a polite rejection email and closed my application. The process was okay, but I wish it wasn't so long and that the interviewers were more punctual and engaged. It felt like I was interviewing for a director role, not a project manager.

- Why do you want to work for Concur?
Implementation Project Manager
It was a pretty relaxed interview. The questions asked were pretty standard, nothing unexpected. I found I could relate to the interviewers based on personal or professional experiences. Each interview was only 30 minutes long, which made the whole thing quick and efficient. The interview was conducted over Skype, which was a new but positive experience for me.
