I had two phone interviews. First was with HR, where they asked me to talk about my recent jobs on my resume. The HR person said I was qualified and that I'd move on to talk with the hiring manager. The call with the hiring manager was supposed to be 45 minutes but felt rushed, maybe an extra 15 minutes would have been better for both of us. It felt like a slightly deeper version of the HR chat, just digging a bit more into my background. I heard the job went to someone internal, so I feel like the hiring manager just needed to talk to an outside candidate before offering it to the internal person. It was a friendly and professional chat, no tough questions.

So I applied online and then the recruiter called me for a phone screen. They asked me a bunch of questions about my experience. Then they asked about my commercial product experience. I have B2B and B2G experience and Concur is B2B. Then they asked about my mobile product experience, which I don't have. The recruiter ended the call really quickly. I had to follow up a week later to get rejected. Weirdly, neither of those things were even on the job description.
