Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SAP Concur.
Manager
I went through 7 interviews for this role, but ultimately they didn't hire me. I spoke with a bunch of people at various levels, and everyone asked me the same things. Honestly, they could have just put everyone in a room together for one big interview.
- Could you provide some solutions for our company's challenges?
Implementation Manager
It started with a recruiter call where they check if your salary expectations are within their range, which I found a bit unusual as they usually do that later. After that, I had about four 30-minute phone interviews, one after the other, with team members. Finally, the team manager interviewed me one-on-one. All the questions were competency-based.
- Recruiter screened based on salary and high-level criteria.
- Team members conducted competency-based interviews.
Manager
There were about 5 interviews with managers from within and outside the hiring team. I didn't get to meet any potential colleagues. The interviews were spread across at least 3 days, which was inconvenient but also made it easier to take time off from my previous employer without them noticing. The interviews were pretty basic and not too intense. They didn't ask for references.
- What makes you want this job?
- What prompted your departure from your last employer?
