The university recruiting team was great. The interview included behavioral questions and inquiries about your past work history. It was very focused on how you'd fit with the company and understanding what you want to gain from the internship experience.

After applying online, I was contacted by an HR recruiter about 10 days later. The recruiter was flexible and scheduled an initial screening call by phone. This call lasted about 30 minutes and covered job details like pay, location, and desired skills. The recruiter kept me informed throughout. Next, I had a 30-minute phone interview with the hiring manager, who was also my soon-to-be boss. I received an email with behavioral questions and tips, suggesting the STAR method. During this interview, the hiring manager asked about my middle name as an icebreaker, making it feel more like a conversation and ensuring I understood the role. The final stage was an in-person interview at HQ in Bellevue. The receptionist was welcoming. I met with the hiring manager again, and we reviewed my resume. Surprisingly, he offered me the job and asked what it would take for me to join. I wish he had asked technical questions so I could better gauge expectations. I essentially accepted the job during this interview, and the rest of the week involved paperwork.

I applied online and heard back for an interview a few weeks later. Usually, there's a recruiter phone screen, but this time I went straight into two back-to-back phone interviews with technical folks. They asked about my resume and experience, and also some general Java coding stuff. About a week after that, the recruiter called and offered me the job.
