SAP Ariba Engineer Interview Questions
& Process

Had an initial chat with HR for about 15 mins. Then, a 60-minute online coding round where I had to solve data structure and algorithm problems using an online editor while being on a call with an interviewer. After passing that, I was invited for an onsite interview in Bengaluru, and they mentioned they'd cover travel expenses. There were 4 rounds during the onsite, each being an elimination round, focusing on data structures, algorithms, and some puzzles. This was followed by a 45-minute managerial round and a 30-minute HR round.

I was contacted by a consultant. At first, I wasn't interested due to the location, but I decided to do it for practice. The interviews were on a Saturday. First was Tech Round 1 with some basic Java questions, like finding the second smallest number in an array and batch processing using pre-Java5 packages. Then Tech Round 2, a design question about a game, focusing on data storage and scalability. Tech Round 3 was another design question, asking to design a workflow and components for a given scenario, again with a focus on scalability. Then came the Managerial round about my current project and role. The following week, there were more rounds: Round 5 with the MD, which had typical managerial questions, and finally, the HR round. I wasn't very keen on the offer because of the location and was ready to decline. I got the offer a couple of days later, but I couldn't refuse it because of the compensation, benefits, and a joining bonus. I happily accepted and was looking forward to it.

So the interview was over the phone after they looked at my resume. First, I had to talk about what I do day-to-day and my responsibilities. Then they told me about the job and what they're looking for. We also talked about salary, but we couldn't agree because they only offered up to 60k.
