It was a pretty long and thorough process, but they really looked at my strengths and where I could improve to find the best place for me in the company. We had a relaxed chat about my career goals, development plans, and how to get there.

Behavioral Technical Other

This was a really long, tiring, and frustrating interview process. It involved about 8 calls with the hiring manager at Sandvik in Tampere, Finland. Only two of those were actual interviews. In two other calls, the hiring manager was just checking if I was still interested because the process was taking so long. For the last 3-4 calls, the hiring manager tried to negotiate a lower salary than I expected and was unclear about what Sandvik was willing to pay. The hiring manager also seemed to lack knowledge about basic things like holidays, bonuses, and benefits, often responding with 'I will have to ask.' I think an HR expert should have been present for such uncertainty. Additionally, there was an aptitude test, a psychometric test, a review of the test results with a third-party recruiter, and an interview with the Hiring Manager's boss. Initially, the hiring manager was very positive about my profile, highlighting my strengths and calling me a perfect candidate. However, after I stated my salary expectations, she started focusing on skills I don't possess. Ultimately, my application was rejected without a clear reason. The whole process felt lacking in transparency and honesty.
