Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sandvik.
Senior Accountant
Recruiter reached out first, then I had a couple of phone interviews. After that, it was an on-site with a tour. It was pretty straightforward and they got back to me quickly. Got the offer in just a few days.
- Can you tell me about any expense reporting tools you've managed or implemented?
Accountant
Talked with the VP of HR and the Finance and Admin Manager. They really dug into my past experience and what I've done. They analyzed my technical and admin skills a lot, and said good communication and presentation skills are a plus. They also mentioned the company's perks and benefits are standard for the industry and that there are on-the-job training packages for system and process improvement roles. We also talked a lot about the work culture, like integrated work ethics and a good work environment.
- Could you detail the technical aspects of independently managing account consolidations and ensuring IFRS compliance?
Accountant
It was pretty chill and not stressful at all. The interviewer didn't hit me with any super hard questions. Mostly just personal stuff that felt easy to talk about without needing to prep. Honestly, I felt like I had the job locked down at 95% just from my resume. They really just wanted to make sure we'd get along and be able to work together.
- What's prompting your departure from your present role?
