Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sana Biotechnology.
Research Associate
The interview process was about 5 rounds long, and it was one of the best interview experiences I've had. There was a special round called 'bar raiser' which is meant to check if the candidate fits the company culture. The technical interviews with the hiring manager and the team director were interesting and gave a clear idea of what the job entails.
- Tell me about a time you had a conflict with your manager and how you handled it.
Research Associate
The whole thing took about two weeks and was pretty chill. It was all done over zoom. There were 3 rounds: a recruiter call, a manager interview, and a peer interview. I was initially contacted by an external recruiter.
- Can you tell me about yourself and your experience?
Research Associate
We start with a recruiter phone chat, then a manager phone chat. After that, if you make it, you'll get invited to a set of 30-45 minute interviews with different people and teams in the org. These interviews cover your technical skills and how you'd fit in. Some will be one-on-one, others with 2-3 interviewers. If you're at the Scientist level or higher, you'll also need to do a seminar presentation.
- How would you handle a situation where you might miss a deadline?
