This was a public sector type interview. It was a panel interview with 5 interviewers. They were cold and didn't react to my responses. Each panelist asked one question. The interviewers were taking notes while I responded.

Behavioral Presentation

Interviewing with the City and County of San Francisco is pretty different from most other job interviews. Because of some really strict HR rules, the panel interviewing you can't really go off-script. I've heard they're even told not to smile. You'll have a set amount of time to answer 4-5 questions that the panel will ask one by one. You'll also have the questions written down for you. You get to decide how long you spend on each question, but you absolutely can't go over the time limit. Just so you know, the interviewers are mostly just looking for specific keywords to mark down as 'correct' answers. They're not allowed to use their own judgment on how qualified you are. So yeah, interviewing with San Francisco can be a super weird and uncomfortable experience.
