Research Intern
They mostly talked about my research and papers. I was asked why certain methods were used instead of others, about design choices, and about my specific contribution to a paper. There was also a simple coding question.
- Could you elaborate on your specific contribution to this paper?
- Tell me about your rationale for choosing specific research methods.
- What were the design decisions you made, and why?
Research Intern
I applied online for this digital health lab research internship and then got a call to interview. It was a virtual interview covering biomedical signal processing and cardiac physiology. The interview was 45 minutes long and had detailed questions about arrhythmias and signal processing. They also discussed my PhD research dissertation.
- Could you describe the electrical conduction system of the heart?
- Can you elaborate on your PhD research dissertation?
Research Intern
I started with a research presentation. After that, they asked me technical questions related to wireless and machine learning. They also asked more questions about my resume and previous work experiences. I interviewed with two researchers who work in a similar field.
