The hiring process felt really organized and I always knew what was going on. It started with a quick chat with a recruiter, then I met with the hiring manager, some other support managers, and then the head of technical support. Most of the questions were about how I'd handle situations, deal with customers, and if I fit with what Samsara is all about. It felt more like a conversation than an interrogation, and they seemed to want to hear about my actual experiences. The recruiter was super helpful, giving me tips and keeping me in the loop. It gave me a good sense of the job and the company vibe.

Behavioral Technical

The recruiting process started out professional and clear, but my experience was disappointing regarding follow-up. Although the interview went well and I felt my profile was a good fit, the rejection came with an automatic response and no useful feedback. I appreciate the honesty about growth timelines in the company, but it doesn't seem like the ideal place if you're looking to advance professionally in the short or medium term.

It was my second time interviewing with Samsara, the recruiter was amazing, very supportive and helpful. First was a call with recruiter, standard no complaints. Second was interview with manager, standard no complaints. Third is a practical, I had done this before and it was very easy and informative about the product but they have changed it and it was incredible hard, I spent 5-6 hours on this test. The test covered creating algorithms, software, data writing speeds, raw vehicle data reading, it was honestly too much for tier 2 support and you had to be a master engineer to answer a number of these questions. But my biggest complaint is that the interview process is way too long, after the practical is a 3-4 hour panel interview over all the process take 2-3 weeks and has at least 4 phases. Please shorten your process!

A logic puzzle about a cat, a mouse, and a piece of cheese: The mouse cannot be left alone with the cheese, and the cat cannot be left alone with the mouse. You can only fit one animal/item on the boat at once. Need to cross all 3 across the river. How do you do it?
