Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SAM.
Software Engineer
They told us to come for an interview the very next day after all other procedures like GD and aptitudes were completed. Since I'm from a non-CSE/IT background (ECE), I was expecting questions about my projects, like my friends got. However, I was given some coding questions, though they weren't too difficult. It really depends on the panel. My friends received questions about family, breakfast, college, hobbies, etc. I'm now waiting for the interview results.
- Can you tell me about all your projects?
- Can you tell me about your mini project?
- Can you tell me about your main project?
Software Engineer
The interview process was pleasant, with knowledgeable and friendly people. The work environment is good, and it's an awesome place for someone starting out. Salary shouldn't be the primary consideration initially.
- Are you familiar with Java?
- Do you have experience with C?
- Tell me about your web development skills.
Software Engineer
There was an online test with programming questions covering data structures and arrays. Then, the technical recruiter gave some puzzles to solve, followed by pattern programming questions. Finally, some basic C concepts were covered.
- Can you explain the difference between a struct and a union?
- Can you solve this pattern programming problem?
