After more than 10 years at the same store, there was no exit interview. For instance, they mandated that we begin administering immunizations. Previously, they paid Mollen millions (or maybe billions?) to handle flu shots annually, with nurses working 10-hour shifts for $23/hr. When they pushed us to do them, I, like a few other pharmacists who resisted, said I'd do it for $5 per shot. They claimed this was unfeasible for all pharmacists company-wide, asserting we were already well-compensated. Furthermore, they wanted us to administer five other types of shots, despite limited staffing and a makeshift setup outside the pharmacy (sometimes patients would expose themselves trying to get their arms free, with no privacy!). I refused, and they began to push me out.

So they called me first, and then I went to the store the next day. I waited in the break room for a bit. The manager came out and interviewed me. Then, I had another interview the day after that with the pharmacist. She said they'd call me in two days if they were interested, but I never got a call back. They said they don't do 'tell me about yourself' questions, but you should be ready for a lot of problem-solving questions. They said they like it if you have customer experience. They were nice people though, so don't be too worried.

The interview happened at a flu shots table, just a chair and table. It felt a little awkward but was mostly okay. The manager conducted the interview and did most of the talking. He asked me some questions, and I answered. When I asked him questions, his responses were really vague, so watch out for those tricky descriptions they use to get you hired. Other than that, it was a pretty easy interview. No hard questions, but they want to see your experience.
