Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sam's Club.
Customer Service Representative
It was quick and straightforward once the interview began. I had to wait around 15-20 minutes before it started. The interviewer was neutral and moved quickly. The main focus was on sales skills, as this is important for meeting goals in the Frontline cashier role.
- Were you asked if you were good at sales because it should be the Frontline cashier main focus to reach goal numbers?
Customer Service Representative
It's quick, the interview lasts 30 min and if the HR person likes you, they immediately ask the sub-manager of the area you applied to to interview you. Since the sub-manager is busy, it lasts at most fifteen minutes, they explain the day-to-day, the problems they are facing, what they expect from you and the benefits. When they finish, they ask for your papers and give you schedules for training and that's it.
- Tell me about your previous work experience.
- How long did you work at your last job?
- What aspects of WM do you find appealing?
Customer Service Representative
It was easy because I'd worked here before, so I already knew the job. I was a supervisor previously and had even interviewed people for the company.
- Can you share an instance where you exceeded expectations to assist a customer?
