First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Salsify.
Sales
It was more of a quick chat than a formal interview. They asked some basic questions about my availability to start working, my work authorization in the UK, and my ability to commute to the office.
- Can you start working soon?
- Are you legally permitted to work in the UK?
- Is working in person something you can do?
Sales
It started with a phone screen, then there were on-site interviews that included a sales management presentation. There were also follow-up informal meetings. The front end of the process was positive. However, the back end was not so great because it dragged on, and I got mixed signals about an offer coming. My opinion is that an employer shouldn't call references unless an offer is about to be made. Salespeople are extremely busy and shouldn't be bothered unless the opportunity is serious, unless the employer is just verifying dates, compensation, etc. with HR.
- Can you generate half of your sales pipeline on your own?
BDR Representative
I met with a bunch of leaders during my interview. It was super thorough and helpful. I know this because I was later involved in hiring and saw everyone get a fair shot.
- Tell me about a time you faced a challenge and how you handled it.
